Many farmers in Australia believe there is a direct relationship on return on asset and the value of their land or the land they want to expand on. To an extent I agree that an allocation must be made to ROA (return on asset), but I do not for a second believe this is a conclusive device and consider it a dangerous hurdle to expansion.
